Mount And Blade Warband Graphic Overhaul GuideMount and Blade: Warband serves as a Standalone Expansion pack to the ARPG video game Mount and Blade. The standalone pack expands the original game by featuring the introduction of sixth faction, The Sarranid Sultanate, increasing political choices, including the ability for the player to begin the game using his own faction, and incorporating multiplayer game types. However, the game places its focus on the horse combat and offering orders to warband in the battlefield, including informing the archers to hold the position or infantry to use weapons. So, the notable changes to this game are the inclusion of multiplayer modes and the introduction of a new sixth faction. The Multiplayer gameplay eliminates all of the Role-playing assets and map elements from the Single-player mode, instead of focusing on combat. In the game, the player needs to jump into the game with an objective of creating his realm, recruiting his army, and then commanding them into battle to claim the prize after taking the enemies down. Mount and Blade: Warband includes core features such as Graphical Overhaul, New Models, a Massive Campaign, Customization, and more. By far, the best mod that doesn't significantly change the game is Floris using the Extended version of the install. It is a 'mod compilation.' It upgrades all the graphics and gives you tons of new units, new information panels, new management options, new types of tournaments and a host of other really nice improvements. It doesn't change the factions or overhead map, but does include a ton of enhanced graphic additions to battle maps and the like. For mods that are 'Complete Overhauls', that give you a new world map, new game mechanics and units and new factions, there are several exceptionally good ones:Prophecy of Pendor - A great complete overhaul mod with new map, factions, units and some neat game mechanics. It has a little bit of magic/fantasy flavor.Brytenwalda - A large complete overhaul. It is well regarded, but I haven't played it.The Last Days - A Lord of the Rings complete overhaul mod, originally for Mount and Blade, but adapted for M&B: Warband, that puts you in the game in service to a faction during the War of the Ring. It is a complete overhaul with new game mechanics, tons of new units, new LoTR factions and a LoTR map. The game mechanics are substantially different than 'vanilla' and you can't switch factions or capture cities and castles, yourself. But, if you want to play as a commander in an army for one of the Factions during the War of the Ring, there's no better mod. Be sure to download the 'nightly patch' so you can fix bugs that may not have yet been fixed in the main download. This mod is basically in 'permanent beta' mode, right now.Warsword: Conquest - Originally for Mount and Blade, but adapted and expanded for M&B:Warband, this mod brings you into the Warhammer Fantasy universe, with new factions, mods and mechanics. I've been playing it awhile and, even though it is in 'beta', it's extremely stable and full-featured.(Other good mods have already been mentioned.).
